Edward R. Franko, Jr. has been practicing colon and rectal surgery for more than 16 years and is currently practicing at North Texas Colon and Rectal Associates in Dallas and Garland, Texas. He completed his residency in general surgery at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation and Long Island Jewish Medical Center where he received an award for Outstanding Chief Resident, and he completed his colorectal fellowship at Baylor University Medical Center.

Dr. Franko graduated Summa Cum Laude from Cleveland State University with a B.S. in biology and chemistry. He graduated seventh in his class of 150 from the Medical College of Toledo, Ohio, with honors in physiology, biochemistry, microbiology, pharmacology, internal medicine, orthopaedics, and radiology.

Dr. Franko is certified by the National Board of Medical Examiners, the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Colon and Rectal Surgery, and is licensed in New York and Texas. He is a member of the American Medical Association, American College of Surgeons, American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons, the Texas Medical Association, the Dallas County Medical Association and the Christian Medical and Dental Society.
